Ever wondered how to achieve that "Eye lift effect" with your makeup? Well, today I am here to tell you how and I hope you enjoy reading.
Step One: DEFINED EYEBROWS
Choose powder shadow the same color as your brows. Apply with an angled brush, using light strokes so the color isn't too heavy. What you are trying to achieve here is the illusion of hair. So, a light handed application will pay-off. This requires Patience.
Step Two: SCULPT LASH-LINE
Rim upper and lower lids with a black or dark grey powder shadow (a liner brush provides precise application). To really lift lids, be sure the top line is thicker than the bottom-- line it first, and use the leftover shadow on lower lashes. Both lines should meet at the outer corners and blend slightly upward. The softer you go here, the better. What you really want here are healthy looking eyes with elasticity, not painting. So, sculpt with intention of "effect" and not "colour"
Step Three: SCULPT LIDS
Think 'natural glow' here. Work with colours like brows, mocha, with just the right amount of shimmer. Blend, blend and blend more. When this is done... Use a colour that is very close to your skin tone on your brow-bone and blend into your lids. A little bit of shimmer would work here. But remember that the skin needs very little shimmer as it looses its elasticity.
Step Four: MASCARA
The key here is Lash Curler then apply 2 coats of mascara. Avoid applying too much here as it can look messy if it’s all clumped! Try not to get an effect immediately... Apply once and if it looks great to you... Stop, if you feel like you need more then apply another coat, but don't exceed 2 coats.
Below is what your eyes should look like.
